The power cable runs inside the juraf 's neck and through its mounting tube where it appears near your wall plug.  You shouldn't even see it and it certainly won't be a hazard.  In fact, the power in the cable is less than 4 volts.  The 120 volts is converted to this low power right at the wall plug.   The power cord extends about 40 inches out from the bottom of the mount tube.
